Date:                November 2017
Location:         Charles Heidsieck Crayères - Reims, France
On November 9th, 2017, Charles Heidsieck Champagne celebrated the founder of the house, a true visionary, who in 1867 acquired a series of chalk cellars dating from the 3rd century, a veritable maze of subterranean cathedrals. Ciel Rouge worked with cutting-edge digital firm Balistikart, as part of a global communications strategy to conceive, design and create a captivating and memorable soirée in Reims, France for VIP guests invited to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the acquisition of the crayères. Highlights included collaboration with Michelin star chef Thomas Boullault, and a tailor-designed guided visit of the crayères, brought to life in special ways for this exceptional event. Invitations were sent in the form of a personalized passport as part of a comprehensive social media strategy. Guests discovered the brand’s wine cellars in a festive and dramatic atmosphere featuring audacious scenography: immersive sound design, 3D mapping & motion design projections on the crayère walls, and an aerial dance performance in partnership with the Centre National d’Arts de Spectacle (CNAC). Results included excellent PR coverage of the event including TV specials and numerous articles in prestigious magazines, newspapers and blogs. Balistikart & Ciel Rouge received a Silver Award in the Luxury Event category at the 2017 Cristal Festival.
